Kerns Neighborhood Seismic Upgrade
The Queen Jeanette Apartments, a 1927 mixed-use brick building in NE Portland’s Kerns neighborhood, with apartments over retail space, needed its roof replaced. As roofing specialists, Manning Design + Construction was hired by the owner to replace the membrane roof and upgrade the unreinforced masonry at the roof level. We installed bracing from brick parapet to roof framing to make the building earthquake sound.
